Description:
Abstract:
The book is addressed to undergraduate students of Technological Educational Institutes, in whose Departments Electronics is taught as a "core" subject. Given the different cognitive background of the students, the book attempts in the first chapter to provide the reader with all the introductory knowledge necessary to understand the content of the chapters that follow. The basic principles governing the operation of basic electronic devices are presented in a progressive manner and their main applications are listed. In particular, applications of diodes (in rectification, smoothing and regulation of alternating voltages), amplifier circuits with bipolar transistors and MOSFETs, applications of operational amplifiers, and simple topologies of filters and harmonic oscillators are presented and analyzed. Although the book focuses mainly on the study of analog electronic circuits, an attempt is made to introduce the reader to the methodology of designing digital logic circuits, which is presented in a specific chapter.
