Abstract

Στο βιβλίο θα περιγράφονται οι διάφορες οδηγίες που πρέπει να ακολουθούνται κατά τον προληπτικό γυναικολογικό έλεγχο. Θα δοθεί ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στη λογική του προληπτικού ελέγχου. Δηλαδή θα αναλύεται γιατί να γίνεται ο συγκεκριμένος προληπτικός έλεγχος, πότε να γίνεται η έναρξη του, κάθε πότε πρέπει να επαναλαμβάνεται και πότε πρέπει να σταματά. Θα παρουσιάζονται συγκριτικά στοιχεία από διάφορες τακτικές και θα αναλύονται τα υπέρ και τα κατά της κάθε τακτικής. Επίσης, θα γίνεται αναφορά σε συχνές γυναικολογικές καταστάσεις με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στις σύγχρονες τεχνικές διάγνωσης και αντιμετώπισης όπως και στις θεραπευτικές πρακτικές. Έμφαση θα δίνεται στις καταστάσεις και θεραπευτικές πρακτικές που σχετίζονται με απώτερη εμφάνιση καρκίνων του γυναικείου γεννητικού συστήματος και του μαστού. Τέλος, θα γίνει περιγραφή των συχνότερων καρκίνων του γυναικείου γεννητικού συστήματος και του μαστού με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στις σύγχρονες τεχνικές διάγνωσης, αντιμετώπισης και μετέπειτα παρακολούθησης.

The book describes the various recommendations to be followed during the preventive gynecological examinations. As an introduction, physiology of the woman's reproductive system - reproductive cycle, and hormonal effects will be described in initial chapters. Particular emphasis will be placed on the logic of preventive control. In other words, it will be analyzed why the specific preventive check should be carried out, when it should be started, when it should be repeated and when it should be stopped. Comparative data from various recommendations will be presented and the pros and cons of each recommendation will be analyzed. Screening tests for breast cancer and possible future screening tests for ovarian and endometrial cancer will be described. Reference will also be made to common gynecological conditions with particular emphasis on modern diagnosis as well as therapeutic practices. Emphasis will be placed on the conditions and therapeutic practices related to local and distant metastasis of cancers of the female genital tract and breast. Finally, there will be a description of the most common cancers of the female genital tract and the breast, with particular emphasis on modern diagnostic, treatment and follow-up techniques. Cancers of the vulva, vagina, cervix, body of the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries and breast will be described in different chapters/sub-chapters.
