Description:
Abstract:
The “Snowball” technique aims to effectively conclude on a topic, presenting results acceptable to all participants. This is done incrementally and methodically by discussion, exchange and gathering of views. At the beginning, learners individually answer the question that has been asked, and then, they form a group with those who agree with their views, reformulating their answers together. Those groups that converge in their views merge and form wider groups. They resolve their differences and jointly reformulate their responses after dialogue in a manner acceptable to all members. The process is repeated, with the creation of new wider groups with converging opinions so that they can, finally, formulate together a single set of commonly accepted proposals. The Snowball technique is developed with an example concerning the “Educational Contract” and is accompanied by empirical data, resulting from its implementation, during teaching.
