Abstract:
This chapter defines the concept of human resources management and reflects the basic dimensions and objectives of this function. Basic human resource management models and strategies are described, and tailored to the cooperative organizational environment. The problems associated with human resource management and the positive or negative consequences of how management strategies and methods are implemented in the particular cooperative environment are then mentioned. Finally, practices and proposals are presented to address the challenges posed by cooperatives in the field of human resource management. This chapter is complemented by comprehension exercises for the student.
