Description:
Abstract:
This chapter deals with the models of governance of cooperative projects, as reflected in the international literature. The first section deals with the demarcation of the relevant discussion framework. The cooperative principles of the respective projects are linked to specific governance models to serve their operating conditions and objectives. Further down there are presented different types of governance that cooperatives can follow and which are linked to their specific characteristics. They also present the problems that may arise in the context of their governance as well as proposals for overcoming them. Finally, concerns are raised about the prospects and difficulties in this field.
