Το οικιστικό δίκτυο

Abstract

Το κεφάλαιο αυτό αποτελεί μεθοδολογία για τον προσδιορισμό της δυναμικής του οικιστικού δικτύου στην Περιφέρεια και την αναγνώριση των σημαντικότερων οικιστικών κέντρων. Συγκεκριμένα, περιγράφεται και ιεραρχείται το οικιστικό δίκτυο της Περιφέρειας και εντοπίζονται οι περιοχές επιρροής με ειδική αναφορά (α) στις σημαντικές διαπεριφερειακές εξαρτήσεις και σχέσεις, και (β) στον βαθμό και τον τρόπο ολοκλήρωσης του οικιστικού δικτύου σε επίπεδο Καλλικρατικού Δήμου. Περιγράφονται ο κοινωνικός εξοπλισμός ανά Καλλικρατικό Δήμο, οι αστικές λειτουργίες και ο ρόλος των πόλεων, η ένταξη των πόλεων της Περιφέρειας σε δίκτυα πόλεων, οι σχέσεις με την περιβάλλουσα ύπαιθρο, και προσδιορίζονται οι περιοχές παραθεριστικής κατοικίας.

This chapter provides a methodology for determining the dynamics of the settlement network in the Region and identifying the most important settlement centres. Specifically, the settlement network in the Region is described and prioritized and areas of influence are identified with specific reference to (a) the important inter-regional dependencies and relationships, and (b) the degree and manner of integration of the settlement network at the Kallikratis municipality level. The social equipment per Kallikratis municipality, urban functions and the role of cities, the integration of the Region's cities into city networks, the relations with the surrounding countryside, and the areas of holiday homes are described.
