Abstract:
Diabetic foot (DF) is the most frequent chronic complication, which mainly depends on the duration and successful treatment of diabetes mellitus. It is estimated that 25% of diabetics will develop a diabetic ulcer during their lifetime and 2% will undergo some therapeutic amputation. Treatment is prolonged and expensive, while the results are uncertain.
