Description:
Abstract:
In the field of Biochemistry, UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy is used for the detection and quantification of chromophores, since the shape of the absorption spectra, the wavelength of the absorption maximum, and its intensity are characteristics of specific chromophores. Another application concerns the monitoring of biochemical processes, such as enzyme reactions.
