Abstract:
Rye is among the cereal grains of temperate climates and is a plant of considerable economic importance worldwide. The plant’s botanical characteristics and its biological cycle are directly related to its adaptability and good agricultural practice. This chapter includes a description of the root system, stem, leaves, inflorescence and kernel of the plant. Its developmental stages from germination to maturation of the plant are described in detail.
