Abstract:
Wheat belongs to the cereal grains of temperate climates and is the most important cultivated plant worldwide. The plant’s botanical characteristics and its biological cycle are directly related to its adaptability and good agricultural practice. This chapter includes a description of the root system, stem, leaves, inflorescence and kernel of the plant. Its developmental stages from germination to maturation are described in detail.
