This chapter presents the most important scientific publications in the international literature that refer to the methodology of Bibliometrics and the analysis of bibliometric data, published after peer review in bibliometrics specific, multidisciplinary, or other disciplines-oriented journals. The presented material was collected until May 27, 2021, after a thorough bibliographic search in the Scopus and Web of Science databases with the only restriction being the retrieval of publications from scientific journals after evaluation by peer reviewers. From the total of 7,207 unique publications that were recovered, those with the highest scientific impact are presented based on the reports they have received and their academic scientific and historical usefulness in the context of the Bibliographic Guide of Bibliometrics. Each reference to a published article in a scientific journal after peer review is accompanied by a brief description of its content, the methodology used, its results, a critique of the work and an analysis of its usefulness and importance for the librarian or information scientist. The presented papers concern specific bibliometric topics, theoretical, mathematical, and practical schemes that can be used as models for similar future investigations. Bibliometrics, both theoretically and practically, is used as a scientific tool for evaluating productivity at the individual, institutional, national, social, and business levels, while at the same time they used for mapping relationships, collaborations, and affinities of knowledge domains.
