Αξιοποίηση των ψηφιακών μέσων στη μουσειοπαιδαγωγική

Abstract

Τα ψηφιακά μέσα χρησιμοποιούνται με ποικίλους τρόπους στις παιδαγωγικές στρατηγικές των μουσείων. Μερικά από τα χαρακτηριστικά που τα καθιστούν χρήσιμα εργαλεία για τους μουσειοπαιδαγωγούς είναι οι δυνατότητες που προσφέρουν για εξατομικευμένη μάθηση και δημιουργία προσωπικών διαδρομών και η απεικόνιση με παραστατικό τρόπο σύνθετων πολιστικών δεδομένων (π.χ. με τρισδιάστατα μοντέλα, γραφικά, κινούμενη εικόνα). Οι φορητές ψηφιακές συσκευές επιτρέπουν στους επισκέπτες να έχουν πρόσβαση σε ερμηνευτικό και παιδαγωγικό υλικό ενώ παρατηρούν τα εκθέματα, ενώ η σύνδεση στο διαδίκτυο επιτρέπει την επικοινωνία με χρήστες από όλο τον κόσμο και την πρόσβαση σε εξαιρετικό πλούτο πληροφοριών. Τα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης και τα έξυπνα κινητά από την άλλη, έχουν κάνει δισδιάκριτα τα όρια μεταξύ προσωπικού και δημόσιου χώρου. Όλα αυτά προσφέρουν δυνατότητες για εκπαιδευτική αξιοποίηση από το μουσείο αλλά εγείρουν επίσης και ζητήματα για τη σωστή τους ένταξη στη μουσειοπαιδαγωγική διαδικασία.

The widespread use of digital technologies in general and in the cultural institutions in particular, while is not a new phenomenon; it still presents many challenges to this day. For the purposes of this chapter we will focus on the following two dimensions of digital technology (DT) integration: a) how cultural institutions integrate DT in their practice in order to enrich it by doing things more efficiently or things that were not possible before; and b) how cultural institutions can harness the potential of digital technologies to reveal new dimensions of the cultural experience that were not imagined before. The analysis focuses not on the potential of digital technologies per se but on how these technologies are integrated in a specific context – that of the cultural institutions – and how they shape and are shaped by the practices of the main actors that operate in this context. The technologies presented here include location-based applications and digital tools that aim to empower the visitors. The design and use of these technologies is examined in relation to how DT can support in new ways practices of museum education like participation, the active role of the visitor and the personalisation of the cultural experience.
