Abstract: |
This chapter aims to highlight the contribution of museum education in approaching different audience groups, which often do not have access to museums or cultural heritage institutions. We will discuss issues of inclusive learning and will refer in detail to the different audience groups and their needs, such as immigrants, the Roma community, the elderly, people with accessibility concerns. We will especially refer to the latter group, as access to museums for people with disabilities (physical, emotional or intellectual) is of great important and does not only relate to space arrangement and other practical concerns.
