| Abstract: |
In this chapter is explored the new perspectives of participatory planning in the light of developments in the field of Information and Comminucation Technologies (ICTs). In this respect, it is first discussed the role of ICTs in participatory planning, while is also pointed out the perspectives offered by ICTs for widening the audience of participants (number of participants). Next is discussed the contribution of ICTs towards e-participation and e-planning, i.e. new developments of participatory planning in the information era, placing participation and planning in a web environment. Finally, it is presented, in a consise way, the ICT-enabled tools and technologies that can be used for implementing e-Participation and e-Planning processes.
