Abstract: |
This chapter focuses on multimedia design—that is, the processes involved in selecting and organizing various types of content, adopting appropriate structures and interaction mechanisms, exploring and choosing editing and development tools, and specifying the development model and production timeline. Within this framework, the chapter addresses: the definition of functional flow diagrams (flowcharts) and time planning tools (such as Gantt and PERT charts), the categorization of screen types and high-fidelity prototypes, the mechanisms for collecting, processing, and interconnecting primary content, and the overall aesthetic and functional identity of the application. The chapter also analyzes human-centered design methods and practices, which are used to validate the results of the analysis phase and to guide the adoption of specific approaches and decisions—leading to a concrete implementation plan.
