Description:
Abstract:
In this chapter, translation is approached through the interdisciplinarity that characterizes semiotic studies. It records the reflection that develops in the research field and the attempt to define it, the most important theorists and the schools of thought they have influenced or created, the typologies of translation with a semiotic background, and proposals that can highlight the semiotic aspects of the translation process at the intra-linguistic, inter-linguistic and inter-linguistic levels.
