Abstract: |
The subject of this chapter is the experimental study of the photodiode as a photodetector and light-emitting diode. The electrical characteristics of a photodiode are determined, i.e., the I=f(V) curve representing the current flowing through the photodiode as a function of the applied voltage V for various values of the optical radiation power P, as well as the energy characteristics of the photodiode, i.e., the Ip=f(P) and Vp=f(P) curves, representing the photocurrent generated by the photodiode and the photovoltaic voltage as functions of the optical power.
