Recommended storage conditions and postharvest behavior of roots (carrot, beetroot, turnip, rutabaga, parsnip). Storage of tubers, rhizomes, and corms. Potato storage. Effect of potato dormancy on storage techniques depending on end use. Description of common potato storage facilities. Factors affecting postharvest behavior of potatoes (genotype, pre-storage conditions, maturation, storage conditions, dormancy, and sprouting). Recommended storage conditions for sweet potatoes, ginger, and yams.
