Description:
Abstract:
This chapter explains in simple terms the demand for goods, i.e. the relationship between the price of a good and the quantity demanded. This relationship, expressed by the demand curve, has certain characteristics that are reflected in the elasticity of demand with respect to the price of the good, the elasticity of demand with respect to the price of other goods (cross-price elasticity), and elasticity with respect to income (income elasticity).
