Description:
Abstract:
The 3rd chapter presents a review of the contemporary working organizational forms regarding the applicable working model, the duration of disposed spaces and their occupation, the possibility offered for employee cooperatives, the space arrangement, as well as the use of new technologies. Duffy’s four types of office design are presented: the hive, the cell, the den and the club, defined by the level of employees’ autonomy -independency, the need of their collaboration- interaction with other colleagues and their characteristics. Additionally, the types of Myerson and Ross (2003) are presented, who codify the admissions in their own way. According their estimations, the admissions have already started to affect the architectural characteristics, as well as the design of contemporary office spaces: the visual narrative office, the nodal office, the neighbourly office and the nomadic office.
