Abstract:
Defining privacy, reference is made to the first axis of the use of personal data, the social networks. The context of privacy and personal data protection in cloud computing and e-government is an important issue that requires the implementation of appropriate techniques and protection measures. Techniques, which help to protect privacy and ensure data confidentiality, are mentioned. Α brief description of electronic documents, electronic signatures and "sound drugs" follows. The possibilities of identification with biometric data are described and finally a description of cybercrime and e-justice is given. The chapter concludes with a brief description of the European Cybersecurity Strategy.
