Description:
Abstract:
The evolution of computers with reference to the four generations of computing machines and the philosophical view of computing by the founders of theoretical computing, Turing (Turing's Machine), Gödel, Hilbert, are the cornerstone of today's digital age. With the modern times and the need to develop technologies to cope with COVID-19 pandemic, flexible forms of work emerged, whose advantages and disadvantages are mentioned. The digital age has led us to the electronic press, e-books, Digital Culture. Digital games took the place of the classic way of developing and educating young people. The extensive reference to Second Life, which has also served as a teaching tool, highlights the possibilities for the user of a digital game. Uninterrupted involvement has various health effects. Applications such as digital gold, cryptocurrencies, digital stamps and 4th Industrial Revolution technologies are some modern digital applications. In the context of inclusiveness of all, applications with advanced assistive technologies using mobile devices have been developed for the benefit of citizens and their key elements as well as links are presented. In this context, a brief description of the MAKATON vocabulary is also given. Digital transformation has accelerated in recent years and today applications are provided that aim to better serve citizens in their daily transactions (digital birth declaration, National Register of Administrative Procedures, e-wallet, e-health, e-auctions, the land registry, etc.). However, the use of our data through computers, with the risk of interception, has led to the need to protect privacy and personal data. Techniques that help to protect privacy and ensure data confidentiality are analysed. Finally, considering that justice is part of our live, ways of identification, electronic drugs and cybercrime are described and this textbook concludes with the european cybersecurity strategy.
