Description:
Abstract:
The sixth chapter focuses on the psychosocial characteristics of children with language difficulties. It presents evidence showing that spoken language difficulties and written language difficulties are often linked to behavioural, emotional and social difficulties not only in childhood but also in adolescence and adulthood. The chapter concludes with a discussion of risk factors and protective factors that people, especially parents and educators should be aware of.
