Abstract:
In Chapter 8, we introduce the concepts of the direct and inverse Laplace transform and its convergence region. The following properties of the Laplace transform are presented: linearity, time-shifting, s-field shifting, time-scaling, time-convolution, time-differentiation, s-field differentiation, and time-integration. Then, we analyze LTI systems using the Laplace transform and study the properties of causality and stability, especially for systems described by linear differential equations.
