Description:
Abstract:
The objective of Chapter 6 is to present the basic concepts of analog modulation, by applying important properties of the Fourier transform to telecommunications. The chapter begins with a brief description of the transmission media and analog modulation. Then, we present and analyze DSB-SC AM modulation, synchronized and non-synchronized DSB-SC AM demodulation, AM modulation and demodulation, and SSB-SC AM, USB-SC AM, and LSB-SC AM modulations. A brief presentation of frequency-domain multiplexing, angle modulation, and FM signal demodulation is given.
