This chapter focuses on the statutory aspect of architectural practice, based on program. Juxtaposing building program with architectural program, one can study intentions as movements, manifestoes, politics, as well as poetic and creative acts. Program is investigated as part of the cultural continuum, as art form and scientific discipline. Furthermore, program is analyzed as deep structure and as working hypothesis during research by design.
