Description:
Abstract:
As analyzed so far, place (locus), landscape, continuum and network constitute crucial spatial conditions for architectural design. Within their realm there are values and cultural links which sustain the term landform. In order to articulate these values and create context for the subject of design (the second term of landform) tools are required. During the following chapters we shall examine these tools, starting with the site plan and the definition of the place where a prospective design will be located. The site plan is a tool which facilitates the introduction of external components while tying the object of design to the existing legal framework. Although the site plan may at first look alien to the creative process, it establishes the regulatory frame which must be observed.
