Abstract: |
Distinct perceptions of the continuum lead to different interpretations of architectural design. The thought that architecture and city planning can control the coherence of the world and operate on a “molecular” level as creative design in either large or small scale is investigated through the manipulation of matter in design. Architectural trends which focus on coherent structures are examined, from metropolis to construction module. Furthermore, attention is paid to the practice of collecting as well as collectible architecture as expressions of a continuum.
