Abstract: |
The objective of the present chapter is to contribute to the broader discussion on the phenomenon of youth violence as an important social problem with significant correlations to the identity formation processes of young social subjects, as well as to the overall social phenomenon. Accordingly, this chapter will focus on the phenomenon of knife crime. Regarding this phenomenon, which encompasses criminal use of a sharp object or the threat of use of a knife, interdisciplinary analyses in the British scientific community are extensive. In contrast, there is currently limited relevant discussion in Greece.
