In this chapter, other important hymnographers are briefly presented, such as the emperors Leo V and Constantine Porphyrogenitus (9th and 10th centuries), as well as other hymnographers from the time of the decline of the genre until the Fall of Constantinople. Brief biographies and ergography and a short excerpt from a characteristic hymn are given.
