Description:
Abstract:
Collecting policy in the contemporary context of cultural heritage protection is discussed. The collections as the 'heart' of the museum are examined, the acquisition of collections is discussed, the legal framework and codes of ethics and morality are discussed, and a case study of a donation is presented as an example of good practice on museum collecting policy and how it 'talks' to the permanent collection of the museum in question.
