Abstract: |
Extraction is one of the most widespread methods for obtaining and separating components. It is a simple, rapid, and flexible technique, applicable to the isolation and separation of substances present in both trace amounts and large quantities in biological samples. This chapter presents the theory of liquid-liquid and solid-liquid extraction, the main extraction techniques, and the extraction process. Additionally, the application of extraction in biochemical analysis is discussed.
