Abstract:
This chapter deals with single-step methods for second-order ODEs where the first derivative does not appear explicitly. Runge-Kutta- Nyström methods are presented, as well as their connection with Partitioned Runge-Kutta methods. Order conditions with the use of trees are given and specific methods are constructed.
