Description:
Abstract:
In Optics, prisms are used in the construction of optical instruments. In Ophthalmology the main use of prisms concerns the correction of loss of binocular vision, such as in cases of strabismus or diplopia. The ocular prism is a transparent body made of isotropic material. The two refracting surfaces that make it up can be flat or spherical or even spherocylindrical and are called the faces of the prism.
