Description:
Abstract:
Optics is the name of the branch of Physics that studies the behavior and properties of light, while at the same time describes the phenomena that govern the interaction of light with matter. However, since the visible perception of space and matter is made with lenses located in the organs of vision, the eyes, the main object of study of optics is also the optical media (mirror, lens, optical fiber, etc.) and instruments (camera, microscope, telescope, periscope, etc.). This is how Optical Technology has been developed with the aim of providing solutions and aids to the eye that suffers from visual problems and sometimes from systemic diseases that affect the eye. In this book an attempt is made to cover every point and aspect of an optician’s work. In adittion to this the devices and the organization of the individual tasks in an optical laboratory is also presented. At the same time in each chapter, theoretical information is given in order to assist the optician understand and deal with the problem in a better way and thus to enable him help the patient more effectively.
