Abstract:
Chapter 5 deals with the first step in providing CPR and other First Aid which is the initial (rapid) assessment that allows the recognition of whether a situation is life threatening or not. More specifically, steps to maintain safety of the rescuer, the victim and other bystanders will be presented, as well as the criteria based on which we recognize life-threatening situations and non-life-threatening situations, with instructions to the teacher and lesson plans.
