Chapter 2 presents basic educational principles, including the main points that one needs to take into account in order to have positive learning outcomes. In this context, teaching approaches and examples using different teaching methods are presented. These can be used by an educator to achieve a variety of learning outcomes in CPR teaching and beyond. Finally, active learning and its main characteristics are analyzed.
