Description:
Abstract:
Objectives describe what someone wants to achieve in order to improve their performance. Goals in sports give motivation and quality to training, clear expectations, help people break out of routine, strengthen determination and perseverance. In this chapter, exercises and examples are developed through which one learns how to focus one's attention on the process, effort and performance. He learns to choose goals that are challenging but realistic, and thus to be better motivated, to pursue specific, short-term and measurable things, and thus to perform better. He also learns to choose goals that depend on him personally, how to record them, how to monitor his progress and consider feedback. Examples and exercises are specialized in sports, physical education, and health exercise programs.
