Abstract

Στο κεφάλαιο 6, εξετάζεται η σταδιακή εισαγωγή εικόνων κόμικς στα έργα εικαστικών καλλιτεχνών από τα πρώτα μεταπολεμικά χρόνια (Kurt Schwitters, Edwardo Paolozzi κ.ά.) μέχρι το ρεύμα της Pop Art όπου γίνεται γενικευμένη χρήση των κόμικς σε εντελώς διαφορετικό νέο πλαίσιο (Richard Hamilton, Peter Blake, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol κ.ά). Ακόμη, σχολιάζονται οι σύγχρονες αντιδράσεις απέναντι σε αυτές τις πρακτικές (έκθεση Image Duplicator κ.ά.).

Chapter 6 examines the gradual introduction of comics images in the works of visual artists from the early post-war years (Kurt Schwitters, Edwardo Paolozzi, etc.) to the Pop Art movement, where comics are used in a generalized way in completely different new contexts (Richard Hamilton, Peter Blake, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, etc). It, also, comments on contemporary reactions to these practices (Image Duplicator exhibition, etc.).
