Abstract:
This chapter presents selected works of art which can be used in teaching simple concepts of Sciences. The micro-activities and educational interventions proposed are based on the strategies and teaching tools of “Artful Thinking” approach. The purpose of these teaching proposals is on the one hand the understanding of natural phenomena and on the other hand the awareness of primary education students about important contemporary issues which are related to these phenomena, such as environmental protection, sustainable development, etc. This way and through their engagement with the proposed works of art, students learn about different ways of visual expression from modern and contemporary art.
