Abstract: |
In this chapter, we discuss employment policy as a specific version of a public policy. The chapter begins with the presentation of the public policy cycle theory and continues to present alternative approaches. We then focus on the design and implementation principles of employment policy focusing on the parameters that create challenges for the policy makers. The chapter concludes with a literature review on the effectiveness of employment policy according to type and target group.
