The aim of the chapter is to highlight the issue of the effects of economic cycles (and crises) on the measurement of regional inequalities. In empirical terms, this issue is examined by distinguishing the period 1981-2015 into sub-periods that reflect the complete economic cycles of the Greek economy. This issue also is examined focusing on the impact of the 2008 crisis on regional inequality (using composite indicators).
