Regional inewualities and population weights
Authors: Artelaris, Panagiotis
Description:
Abstract:
The chapter aims to highlight the importance of population weighting for measuring regional inequalities. For this reason, the β-convergence model is modified to incorporate the dimension of population. In addition, the convergence or divergence trends for the regions of Greece were re-examined and the results are compared to the unweighted β-convergence model.
