Description:
Abstract:
The concepts of the solid model and solid modeling are defined. The basic types of 3D geometry modeling (edge models, surface models, and solid models) are briefly described. The basic properties of a digital solid model and solid modeling methods are analyzed. The two predominant types of solid model representation, the set-theoretic representation, and the boundary representation are presented. Also, the basic mathematical models that define each representation are studied.
