Abstract: |
The development of distinct institutional and cultural patterns in South and North America as the crystallization of distinct contemporary cultures. America as a place where not only local variants of the European model or models were developed, but also radically new institutional and ideological models. The radical transformation of these European models as new cultures, strongly distinct from those of their European origin. The crystallization of modernity in America as a confirmation of the fact that even within the broader context of modern Western civilization not only just one was developedbut also multiple cultural programs and institutional models of modernity.
