Description:
Abstract:
This textbook refers to the use of Statistical methods in Physical Sciences. The necessity of Statistics for the analysis of experimental measurements, the theory of Probabilities, the distribution of Probabilities and their general properties are presented. Moreover some special probability distributions, which are very useful for the analysis of experimental measurements for Physical Sciences are presented as well. Furthermore, the sample distributions are analyzed and are correlated with the samples of the population. Ways to construct the confidence intervals as well as the hypothesis testing are presented. In addition to this the theory of errors together with the least square fitting is analyzed. Finally, some non-parametric and ranking methods are mentioned.
