The sixth chapter presents the analytical findings regarding the biographical trajectories of persons who were led to follow a preordained path of institutional psychiatrization and a moral career of a ‘mental patient’. Here we examine how the conventional psychiatric management of psychotic experiences suppresses the potential of people and their possibilities to achieve a meaningful and socially adapted life.
