Description:
Abstract:
The proposed handbook is an overview that offers a thorough presentation of the relevant concepts covering many of those that have become prevalent and are used today in the Western world and beyond. Through eight thematic sections and some 100 references, with additional bibliographical citations for “further reading”, this book is a valuable resource for both understanding and researching migration from an interdisciplinary perspective. It is aimed primarily at students and academics working in the fields of social and political science, social anthropology and other humanities or related disciplines, who will be able to draw on data, definitions and information of current thinking and research in the field of Migration and Diaspora studies. This book will also be useful to researchers working on any aspect of migration and to the general public seeking information and knowledge on migration.
