Description:
Abstract:
In this twelfth chapter alternating current (AC) is described and the concepts of effective value of voltage and current are defined. AC capacitor and inductor circuits are studied, and the physical quantities of capacitive and inductive resistance are determined. The resistor-inductor-capacitor circuit (RLC circuit) is also studied, and the circuit impedance and phase angle are determined. Finally, the transformers and their function in the transmission of electric power are described.
