LAB 4: Study of diode behavior
Authors: Kiziroglou, Michail

Description:
Abstract:
In this lab, the behavior of a diode is characterized both through simulation and laboratory measurements. By applying various resistance values in a series source-diode-resistor circuit, the voltage and current across the diode are measured, and the corresponding plot is drawn. This current–voltage (I-V) plot is known as the diode’s characteristic curve. Additionally, at the simulation level only, the operation of the diode is tested in a diode–resistor circuit (half-wave rectification) with a sinusoidal input voltage, as well as the operation of a diode bridge (full-wave rectification).
